TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The squabble related to Supreme Audit Agency’s (BPK) reports on Jakarta’s 2014 financial report has returned to surface as the city’s legislative council established an inquiry committee, headed by Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) politician Triwisaksana, to probe BPK’s audit report.

Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama said that the audit and report submission processes had violated the procedures since the BPK did not ask for clarification from the city administration related to the findings.

“The report was tendentious and offensive,” Ahok said at City Hall on Friday, August 7, 2015, adding that before the BPK should have sent the report draft to him before presenting the report.

Earlier, the BPK revealed 70 findings in the city administration’s financial report during a plenary session held at the Jakarta Legislative Council. The BPK pointed out there was a potential loss of Rp2.16 trillion (US$166 million) caused by city administration’s programs.

The city legislative council also summoned Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Regional Financial and Asset Management Board (BPKAD) head Heru Budi Hartono, and Jakarta inspectorate head Lasro Marbun to clarify BPK’s findings.
