Ahok Launch 'Safety Pin' App To Keep Jakarta Women Safe

“All they have to do is give a code that they feel threatened," he said.
Ahok said that the code will be directed to the smart city application. It will then notify city officials about crime-prone site, which will be followed up by local officials.
"Local officials will function as area manager who will help monitor their environment," said Ahok.
Ahok said that Safety Pin will be available for download starting October 2015. The apps will be integrated with smart city app. Moreover, Ahok will support Jakarta Metro Police with integrated command center.
