Purwakarta Regency to Have 5-Star Hotel, New Tourist Spots

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Government of Purwakarta Regency, West Java, is set to increase its investment in tourism. Purwakarta Regent Dedi Mulyadi said five local and foreign investors have already applied for permits to build five-starred hotels and integrated tourism area.
“There are five investors. I’ve signed the principal and location permits, just need for the action,” said Dedi.
The hotels are planned to be built on the town’s tourism golden triangle including Wanayasa, Bohong and Darangdan Subdistricts. This golden triangle is prepared to rival Bogor’s Puncak and Cianjur.
Dedi promised that he will build road sufficient infrastructure before the hotel building to support tourism development.
According to Head of Integrated Investment and Licensing Agency of Purwakarta Regency, Iyus Permana, an investor has already started working on the field.
“It is called Rumah Bambu tourism area,” said Iyus.
