TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- President Joko Widodo on Sunday, August 2, 2015, inaugurated an integrated Pertamina project with total investment of US$ 5.8 billion in Uso village, Batui district, Banggai regency, Central Sulawesi.

The project integrates oil and gas upstream to downstream production.

"With the operation of the Donggi Senoro terminal, I hope it can meet the need for natural gas in Sulawesi and Eastern Indonesia,” the President said when inaugurating the project on Sunday.

On that occasion, President Jokowi hoped that the mega project would be seriously safeguarded and integrated, not only on paper but also on the ground.

"Being integrated means that the implementation is not only on paper but also on the ground, from the upstream to the downstream, from producers to users, be it petrochemical, power plant, and liquefied natural gas (LNG)," the President said.

Jokowi also instructed those in charge of the mega project to address barriers in the integration process.

"If the barriers are small, please address them first. If they are big and need to be supported by the President, please tell me,” Jokowi added.

Projects that were inaugurated include a central processing plant managed by Pertamina-Medco Tomori Sulawesi with the investment value of US$ 1.2 billion, Blok Senoro-Toili, Blok Matindok managed by Pertamina with the investment value of US$ 0.8 billion, Kilang Gas Alam Cair, which is a joint venture between PT Pertamina through Pertamina Hulu Energi, Medco Energi, Mitsubishi Corporation and Korea Gas Corporation with the investment worth of US$ 2.8 billion and an Ammoniac plant managed by PT Panca Amara Utama, with the total investment value of US$ 0.8 billion.
