Credit Growth Reaches 11-13% This Year, BI Governor Says
Minggu, 5 Juli 2015 11:00 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) estimated that credit growth in 2015 will reach 11-13 percent or lower than the previous forecast, which was at 15-17 percent.
BI Governor Agus Martowardojo in Jakarta on Friday (3/7) said that the disbursement of the government’s budget for a number of projects would help boost credit growth in the second quarter of this year.
"Our credit growth is still at 10 -11 percent. We hope that in the second semester when the government’s budget has been disbursed, the growth will be higher. We hope it will reach 11 -13 percent," he said.
Based on the data in May 2015, credit that has been channeled by the banks is reported to reach Rp3,792.8 trillion or grows by 10.3 percent.
