BI Provides Extra Cash for Ramadan and Eid

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (BI Office) for Central Java has prepared Rp 15 trillion in cash to meet increasing demands during the Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 2015 period. The money was divided into various denominations that are much demanded by the public.


"We will also optimize the distribution process and supply of cash," said Marlison Hakim, Deputy Chief of the BI Office on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.


The money will also be distributed to BI Offices in Solo, Tegal, and Purwokerto to facilitate cash withdrawals that are often increasing during Eid al-Fitr period.


According to Marlison, all BI representative offices in the area of Central Java will provide currency exchange services during the first two weeks of Ramadan, and at the final week of Ramadan.
