TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo will carry out his state duties as usual, despite the upcoming nuptials of his eldest son in Solo, Central Java, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto said here on Tuesday.

"The president will conduct all activities as usual. He has assistants to help him deal with tasks," he stated after a limited cabinet meeting at the president's office.

According to Widjajanto, he could even hold a cabinet meeting in Solo if required.

"The president will continue to work as usual as even a limited cabinet meeting could be held there (in Solo) if needed," he remarked.

President Joko Widodo left his office after holding a limited cabinet meeting at 1:45 p.m. for Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to go to Solo, his hometown, for his son's wedding.
