Dozens of Student Absent from First Day of National Exam

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As much as 68 students in Yogyakarta failed to take the national examination on its first day. The number was gathered from the number of computerized exam sheets scanned by the Yogyakarta national examination team on Monday, April 13, 2015.


"All examination sheets from vocational schools have been gathered on Monday noon, while [examination sheets] from senior high schools were gathered in the afternoon," said Sukirjo, Coordinator for national examination supervisor for Yogyakarta on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.


Sukirjo said that his institution had received 16,061 examination sheets for Bahasa Indonesia subject from vocational schools that conducted paper-based test. The number, as Sukirjo explained, indicated that around 38 students were not participating in the test.


Meanwhile, Sukirjo stated that he had received 20,007 examination sheets from high schools and Islamic high schools. Sukirjo said that from the number, at least 30 students were not participating in the test.
