TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama faced an enemy he cannot be mad at as he headed to Rumpin, Bogor, last week. Ahok and his men had to face a harsh terrain on a semi-urban area as they made their way to the area.
Ahok was to attend a signing of cattle breeding program between the Jakarta City Administration and PT Karya Anugerah Rumpin in Bogor. Once entering South Tangerang and Bogor, the entourage began facing hundreds of holes on the street, with each one of them spreading a meter in width and 10-30 centimeters in depth.
Bogor City Administration has delivered their sincere apology to Ahok and his men. “We are sorry if Governor Ahok had an unpleasant travel due to damaged roads," said Cucu Gumuruh from Bogor authority.
He added that that in total, there are 1,700 kilometers of damaged roads in the entire Bogor, and that it will take Rp100 billion to repair those roads. “The repair is set to kick off on April," he said.
