TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Sunday set to attend the funeral of Lee Kuan Yew, the founder father of Singapore.
The funeral will also be attended by a number of state leaders.
As previously reported, Lee Kuan Yew died on Wednesday, March 23, 2015 and afterwards, Singapore declared seven days of mourning.
The family will hold a cremation ceremony that will be held in Mandai Crematorium and is only meant for the family. A staff from the Singaporean parliament said that only certain guests are invited to the ceremony.
As of today, hundreds of Singaporean citizens queued to pay their last respect to the former minister that is still lying in state in the parliament building.
On Sunday, the body will be moved to the building of the National University of Singapore.
