TEMPO.CO, Subang – Subang Education Agency head Engkus Kusdinar has said none of the schools in the regency from elementary to high school levels and their equals could take part in the online national exams (UN).
"None of them could meet the requirements,” he said on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Kusdinar said among the mandatory prerequisites for a school to qualify for the online exams was the provision of at least one personal computer (PC) for three students, while even the best schools in Subang—former international-based pioneer schools (RSBI) SMAN 1 (state high school), SMKN 1 (state vocational school), and SMPN 1 (state junior high school)—only had one PC for five students.
Kusdinar said there was an idea to use laptops for the exams instead, but it was later turned down as they could not be equipped with a special content to access the national exams’ questions.
Kusdinar said the online national exams would take place simultaneously with the manual ones in mid-April 2015.
