TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) will disburse the insurance claims for AirAsia QZ8501 crash victims. AGCS is part of Allianz SE, the central of AirAsia Group's several major reinsurance companies.
"We are committed to fulfill our obligations in paying the insurance claims to policyholders' heirs," Allianz corporate communications officer Nadya Putrianty told Tempo on January 28.
Germany-based Allianz SE is the primary insurer for the budget airline. Allianz is estimated to pay at least US$100 million in insurance claims for the unfortunate accident.
