TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government had asked for aid to the central government related to airport train construction. It is done as preparation toward the 2018 Asian Games and one of alternative transportation for the athletes avoiding traffic jam.
"This could be a big history for us, so we must prepare very well. We asked the Transportation Ministry to construct airport train," he said.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Provincial Government also asked developers to construct light rail transit (LRT) as the airport train's support.
"We involve the private companies to ease the LRT construction. People will go to Kemayoran and Kelapa Gading sport center from the airport directly," he added.
He admitted that the construction will take three years to finish. "Everything must be done in 2017 because there will be a trial," Ahok uttered.
