TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - After President Joko Widodo instructed the bombing of Vietnamese fishing boats last week in Anambas, Riau Islands, it is now Marine and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti’s turn to sink foreign ships.
According to Asep, director general for monitoring of marine resources and fisheries, said the ministry will sink one foreign ship from Thailand next week in Batam.
“There is one ship from Thailand with weight more than 101 Gross Tons that will be sank,” said Asep. The ship was caught on October 30, 2014.
Previously, Minister Susi said there would be foreign ships that will be bombed in Batam waters.
Asep said from 2007 to 2012, the ministry had sank 38 foreign ships.
