South Korean Embassy Holds Cultural Festival Throughout October

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The South Korean Embassy is holding cultural festivals throughout October 2014. The festival will be enliven by all activities ranging from art exhibitions, film screenings, and cooking show. South Korean Ambassador Cho Tae-young said the festival is held to bring Korean culture closer to Indonesian people.
"Through this festival, we can introduce the best of Korea," said Tae-young at Ciputra World Mall yesterday.
Promotion booths are set In the alleys of Ciputra Mall. Many stalls are selling traditional foods, such as Korean instant noodles bulgogi, and kimchi. Many others promote holiday packages in Korea. Tae-young said that Indonesian tourists usually flooding Korea at the end of the year. The promotional booths are opened to facilitate Indonesians who wish to travel to Korea.
Since October 8, the embassy is rolling a Korea-Indonesia installation art exhibition. Participating artists from various countries will exhibit a modern way to interpret Korean calligraphic art at Ciputra Mall.
A film festival will be rolled from October 23 to 28 in Blitzmegaplex Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, and Batam. There are 11 Korean films that will be screened including Miss Granny, Tears For The Dead, Secretly Greatly, and Snowpiercer.
