Jokowi to Keep Ministry of Religious Affairs

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - President Elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has claimed not to change the Ministry of Religious Affairs into Haji, Zakat and Wakaf Ministry . "There will not be changes on name," he said.
Jokowi declined to respond to the name-changing matter, saying it was only a hearsay. He also denied the rumor that his administration is to remove The Minister of Religious Affairs, as also previously opposed by Nahdlatul Ulama.
The rumor sparked after the announcement of Jokowi-Kalla cabinet, in which resulting in the names of 34 ministries. Out of such numbers, 19 ministers maintain their nomenclature, 6 have new nomenclature, 6 are joint ministries and 3 are new ministries.
