Gaza Children Returns to School

TEMPO.CO , Gaza - In light of the 50 days of ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, children in Gaza began returning to school. Gaza Education Minister Ziad Thabet, said that 230,000 students going to attend schools provided by the United Nations and private sector.
On Sunday, September 14, 2014, the city of Gaza witnessed thousands of children dressed in school uniform. In Al-Zaytoun elementary, students wore stickers of their dead friends during the war.
The Guardian also reported that education activity in Gaza had been postponed for two weeks due to the damage suffered by many school buildings. Thabet added that the first week of school will focus on psychological and recreational aspect, to help students recover from war trauma.
