MK to Announce Ruling on Presidential Race Case on Thursday

“The announcement of the verdict will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2 p.m.,” MK chief justice Hamdan Zoelva said in the case’s hearing on Monday, August 18, 2014.
Hamdan said the panel of judges would verify the completeness of evidence from both presidential camps and convened internal discussions in the next two days.
The lawsuit against the results of the July 9 presidential election was filed by losing presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto’s camp.
Prabowo's legal team alleged the election was marred by structured, systematic and massive fraud—among them the ballooning of the number of voters on the additional special voter lists (DPKTb).
