TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar's senior politician Fahmi Idris has stated to support the former Golkar Vice Chairman Agung Laksono to run for Chairman candidacy in order to replace current Chairman Aburizal Bakrie. The deactivation of Agung Laksono is not an issue since Agung is still a Golkar’s political elite.
"I will still be Agung Laksono’s head of winning team for Golkar’s Chairman," Fahmi Idris told Tempo yesterday.
Agung Laksono is only non-active from his position, not fired, he said, which means his rights as a Golkar’s political elite still exist, including the chance to run for Chairman.
Fahmi said to have been officially named as the Head of Agung Laksono’s winning team on Tuesday. He agreed on several ideas submitted by Agung relating Golkar’s mission and vision improvements in the future. For instance, the idea to support young generations of Golkar to develop.
Agung has promised that the majority of Golkar’s management will be filled with young generations, said Fahmi.
