PAN Supports Prabowo's Move to Challenge Election Result

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Mandate Party (PAN) soppurted Prabowo Subianto's plan on reporting the presidential election result to the Constitutional Court. "[We] have are an inseparable part," said PAN Secretary General Taufik Kurniawan.

Taufik said that according to regulations, only a presidential candidate can file such report to the Constitutional Court (MK). Supporting parties only take part in agreeing to the decision.

On Wednesday, Prabowo-Hatta's lawyer Mahendrata has said that the pair will file a report to MK. The report includes all supporting parties in Merah Putih Coalition, all of which are concentrating in gathering evidence. Prabowo-Hatta's legal team plans to submit the report on Friday, July 25.
