TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama is planning on reforming the echelon 2 civil servants at the interior of the Jakarta administration. The letter notifying the bureaucrats will be sent soon to the Home Affairs Ministry.

A number of officials to be removed include Public Works Agency Head Manggas Rudi Siahaan, Jakarta Financial Management Body (BPKD) Head Endang Widjajanti, Development Planning Agency Head Andi Baso Mappapoleonro, Jakarta Employment Agency Head I Made Karmayoga, Tourism and Culture Agency Head Arie Budiman and all mayors except mayor of East Jakarta Anas Effendi, who had just been inaugurated in March 2014.

Of the five officials, Ahok said Manggas Rudi Siahaan would be the first official to be removed. According to Ahok, Manggas showed poor performance particularly in addressing floods and damaged roads.

Manggas said to have put his best efforts to fix damaged roads and sent his people to help with procurement project. "We have worked hard for Jakarta people," Manggas said Thursday last week.

In addition to Manggas, Endang Midjajanti had also performed poorly after being audited by the Supreme Auditor Body (BPK). The BPK found irregularities in 86 projects that potentially cause millions of regional government's loss.
