Bekasi Starts to Inspect Roads for Homecoming Lanes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bekasi government stated that the infrastructure of homecoming lanes for Eid al-Fitr holiday is much more improved that it was before. Nevertheless, there are a number of roads that require to be repaired. "Some are already repaired this month," said Arief Maulana, West Java Bina Marga (Highway) Agency chief, Sunday, May 25.


Repairs have been carried out, such as, on Jalan M. Hasibuan, Chairil Anwar towards Jalan Inspeksi Kali Malang. There are damaged roads that are the responsibility of Central Government, which are Jalan KH Noer Alie and Sultan Agung, Sudirman. There is also a lane inBogoron Jalan Siliwangi, which is the West Java Government's responsibility. "The worst damage is on Jalan Siliwangi. This needs serious attention," he said.


Meanwhile, the Bekasi Transportation Agency has started to prepare homecoming lanes, so that flows of vehicles would run smoothly. A number of facilities, such as, traffic signs, and also personnel to secure and guide for the smooth flow of traffic, have also been prepared.
