Monas Visitors to Remain Free from Rp20 Million Fine

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Visitors of National Monument (Monas) park who recklessly shopping to Street Vendors PKL remain uncharged for Rp20 million fine. Because, management Unit of Monas is still socializing the sanction based on Regional Bill No. 8/2007 about public order, as cited in Antara News.


"We consider to apply the sanction after finishing the familiarization ofthe sanction. It's done because Monas visitors are not only come from Jakarta, but also other areas in Indonesa," Head of Management Unit (UP) of Monas, Firdaus Rasyid, said on Sunday.


Firdaus explained that the implementation of this rules needs supports and joint action from City Mayor that have public rules enforcement. It means, those rules will not be smoothly implemented if only rely on his party in Service Unit of Monas.


"Monas is not only owned by the management, but owned by all. So we are also wishing to have supports. Moreover service unit of Monas will be officially operated on last January 1st," he said.
