TEMPO.CO, Liverpool - Liverpool are close to secure their Premier League title this season after defeating home team Norwich City 3-2 on Sunday. The Reds took some advantage after their closest contender on the Premier League table was crushed by Sunderland on Saturday.
Liverpool was ahead by two goals in the first half by a goal from Rahaeem Sterling and Luis Suaerez. Norwich, regardless the underdog status, put some fight in the second half as Gary Hooper scored in the 54th. Sterling booked another goal in 62nd, making Liverpool close to winning the game.
To Liverpool's surprise, Norwich, as well as Sunderland when facing Chelsea, seemed to have more spirit to face the giant, with Robert Snodgrass scoring for the home team. The match, however, ended with no more goal scored, catapulting Liverpool five points away from Chelsea.
Liverpool now have collected 80 points out of 35 matches. With only three games left, Liverpool must not stumble, particularly when the big contender Chelsea pay a visit to Anfield next Sunday, April 27.
