TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Director General of informal and non-formal early childhood education, Lydia Freyani Hawadi is preparing a warrant letter to temporarily close down the Jakarta International School (JIS) Kindergarten. Lydia said the school had failed to provide complete instruments required by the government.

"On Sunday, we will prepare the Education Minister Decree to temporarily close down the JIS Kindergarten. They have difficulties in completing the required data," Lydia told Tempo yesterday.

There is a possibility that the school will be re-opened when all the required documents are provided. JIS has failed to provide the names of educators, background educations, the limited residence permit, and the profile of each educators.

According to Lydia, the school has also failed to meet the requirement for the teachers' education background, which should be at least holding Bachelor's or Diploma IV degree and psychologists.

A sexual harassment case toward one of its kindergarten student has recently surfaced, making the school facing permit issues.
