SBY Confirms Tax Raise for Luxury Cars

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono confirmed via his Twitter account that luxurious goods tax (PPnBM) for luxury cars will be increased up to 125 percent starting next month.
"The government has revised the law on [PPnBM] for luxury cars from 75 to 125 percent. It will be in force next month," said the tweet from the president's official account, @SBYudhoyono, on Friday, March 21, 2014.
Law No.41/2013 defines luxury cars as cars that equipped with internal combustion engine with an engine capacity exceeding 3,000cc.
