TEMPO.CO , Kabul - A man wearing Afghanistan soldier uniform has shot US armed forces in Afghanistan yesterday, resulting in two dead and four injured.
As reported by Reuters , an Afghanistan home ministry’s official said the shooting occurred in Kapisa, north of Kabul. NATO-led coalition confirmed that two foreign troopers were shot dead without mentioning their nationals.
However, two US Department of Defense officials—refusing their identity to be revealed—said the victims were Americans.
This was the first "inside job" shooting this year following 10 similar acts causing death to 15 personnel of International Security Armed Forces (ISAF) last year, amid Afghanistan and ISAF cooperation to establish security in the conflict-affected country.
