TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo has just found out that health service provided by National Health Insurance Program (JKN) is not as extensive as in the Jakarta Healthcare Program (KJS). Whereas, the latter has been incorporated with the former.

Jokowi realized the finding during his visit to Jatinegara Community Health Center (Puskesmas), East Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. In the health center, he inspected patient administration and filing. "KJS is still valid. Don't be mistaken," he said.

Head of Jatinegara Communty Health Center, Yenny Restuty, responded that it is not an issue in the health center. They still admit patients with KJS as always, without exception.

However, there are several services excluded from JKN, such as cardiovascular and blood examinations. "Some services provided by KJS are not included in JKN," she added.

Jokowi then stated that he plans to meet with the Director of Health Social Security Program (BPJS) to discuss it. According to Jokowi, Jakarta would like to provide complete health service to poor citizens.

"We have the money. Therefore, there should be no problem if Jakarta has to pay extra for poor citizens. What important is that the health service remains the same as last year's KJS," said Jokowi.
