TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thousands of protestors besieged the office of the Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT) and Communications Authority of Thiland (CAT),two agencies that manages communication in the country.

The Civil Movement for Democracy paralyzed all activities in two state-owned enterprises. They also planned to expand their actions.

"Next Monday, we also plan to occupy all ministry offices and other vital agencies," said spokesperson of the movement, Akanant Promphan.

The protestors also threatened to occupy the headquarter of the national police, city police as well as the office of the Prime Minster Yingluck Shinawatra and even the zoo. Previously, the group, who supported the opposition, also occupied dozens of ministry offices. Yesterday, 5000 police were deployed to guard the Prime Minister office.

The rally came after the government's plan to propose the draft of the Amnesty Law. The Law was accused as the government's trick to return Thaksin Shinawatra to Thailand. Thaksin was convicted to two years in prison in corruption cases when we became the prime minister. However, he never received the sentence. Thaksin, the brother of the incumbent prime minister, chose to escape abroad.
