TEMPO.CO, Valencia- Marc Marquez has successfully secured the pole position for the last series of MotoGP race held in Valencia Circuit, Spain today. The Repsol Honda racer clocked a circuit record 1 minute 30.237 seconds.
Marquez's closest rival Jorge Lorenzo has to be satisfied with the second place with the time record of 1 minute 30.557 seconds. During the qualification round, Lorenzo was seen to change his motorbike. MotoGP website reported his first motorbike was having problem with the engine.
Meanwhile, Dani Pedrosa, the team partner of Marquez, will start the race from the third position with 1 minute 30.663 recorded times. The ex-nine-times world champion Valentino Rossi will start on the fourth place with 1 minute 30.920 recorded times.
Marquez also becomes the fastest racer for breaking Pedrosa's record of 1 minute 30.844 seconds on 2012 season qualification. So far, Marquez has been showing a big chance to achieve his first world champion title. Marquez has 318 points, 13 ahead of fellow Spaniard Lorenzo, who is bidding for his third successive win.
