TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A large six-meter canvas painting was displayed in a visual art exhibition at West Java Art and Cultural Week in Bandung. The painting was done in a street-art data-style, imitating street's wall full of graffiti and words. It was created by an artist named Armand Jamparing.

One obvious bold-painted words said "To DM (Deddy Mizwar): a professional is working on TV not as an advertisement star." Deddy Mizwar is the name of the West Java Deputy Governor who was previously worked as an actor. The painting was apparently a form of protest and disappointment to the deputy governor as he is still featuring for TV advertisements even after he took hold of the administration position.

Deddy Mizwar who attended the exhibition commented the painting. "It's okay, I'm cool with it. Polemic is always a difficult thing, it's contra-productive," said the deputy governor to Tempo. "The matter has been resolved, they have already know the reason behind it," he said.

According to Deddy, his contract with the commercial advertising agency will end in late 2014. But he also revealed his wish to keep on featuring in television ads that are related to public services, which aimed to educate people.
