TEMPO.CO, Jember – What would a frog do if it hates rain? As far as we know, frogs love rain. They cheerfully croak until the last raindrop falls on their head. However, this frog from Jember is quite unique. The pouring rain seemed too much for the amphibian to handle.
The aqua-phobic amphibian clung on to the stem of the green leaf for an impressive 30 minutes as it was lashed by wind and rain, the Daily Mail reported.
"Photographer Penkdix Palme, 27, caught the tiny tree frog sheltering from the rain in his neighbor’s back garden," reported the Daily Mail, Tuesday. When the rain started to pour, the frog raised a leaf over its head. The amphibian held the stem of the leaf while sheltering under it, holding it like an umbrella.
For a brief moment, the five-centimeter frog even seemed to angle the umbrella towards the direction of the downpour.
This unique photo was taken by Penkdix in his hometown in Jember, East Java. He was impressed by the frog's quick wit of using the leaf as an umbrella. Amazingly, the frog seemed to understand that the leaf would protect it from the rain.
