TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Continuous rain that started on Sunday, July 21, until today, July 22, had affect 2,088 people of 432 families. Bambang Surya Putra, the Head of Information Section at the Regional Disater Mitigation Agency (BPBD), stated that at least four sub-districts have been flooded.
"However, no refugee is reported so far," said Bambang. He later mentioned that BPBD Jakarta is preparing to anticipate a massive flood by mapping flood-vulnerable spots across the city.
The National Agency of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics predicted that rain will continue to pour over the city throughout the day. As for precaution, the agency has already set up an emergency call unit.
