Honda to Announce Low Cost Green Car in July

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Honda Prospect Motor will announce Low Cost green Car (LCGC) in July. "Details about LCGC will be announced in media gathering," said Jonfis Fandi as the Marketing & After Sales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor at the official opening of Honda Safety Driving Simulator facility in KidZania Jakarta, Saturday June 15.
Jonfis said, the technical instruction of LCGC has yet to be issued. "Yesterday was only the legitimate by the President. The technical issues will be handled by the related ministry," Jonfis said. Honda will only launch City Car in LCGC. "The platform will be further informed."
LCGC Honda will be produced in available factories. "The company has not yet tested LCGC productions," Jonfis said. The purpose of LCGC is to build automotive industry and provide affordable cars which have fewer requirements of fuel and environmental friendly.
"The first purpose of the cars was to provide clean and environmental friendly car, now it is also affordable," Jonfis said. LCGC price will probably set by the government. "Otherwise, the price would be cheaper than Honda Brio," Jonfis ended.
