Vitamin C Cures Tuberculosis

TEMPO.CO, New York – Recently, a research discovered that vitamin C has the ability to resist Tuberculosis (TB) bacteria that is commonly known to be immune to any type of medicine.
The research revelaed that vitamin C works as a catalyst in creating free radicals, molecules that kills tuberculosis bacteria.
"We can only demonstrate this in a test tube, and we don't know if it will work for humans and animals," said lead researcher Dr William Jacobs, professor of microbiology and immunology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine at Yeshiva University.
Vitamin C is widely available, affordable and safe, and can be found in oranges, blackcurrant, and brocolly, which are easy to get.
"We welcome any new research that can provide better understanding to treating TB," said Dr Ibrahim Abubakar, head of TB at Public Health England. He also hoped that vitamin C can serve as a supplement in tuberculosis medication.
