TEMPO.CO, Pamekasan – The East Java gubernatorial candidate Khofifah Indar Parawangsa believed that the divided support given by the Sovereignty Party (PK) and the Indonesia Nahdlatul Ummah United Party (PPNUI) in the East Java gubernatorial elections were a part of an effort to sabotage her run for the gubernatorial race.

"I said so because I have proof," Khofifah stated after attending an NU event in Pamekasan on Wednesday, May 22.

Khofifah added that long before she signed up for the guberniatorial race at the General Elections Commission (KPU), she and her support team have met all central and regional administrators of six parties that supported her: PKB, PKPI, PKPB, PMB, PK and PPNUI. "All [of them] are in the same page with me," said Khofifah.

She admitted that she is not surprised by such treachery. Recently, a meeting with one of her supporting parties at the Sultan Hotel revealed that some parties have been offered with several kickbacks in exchange for their support.
