TEMPO.CO, Seoul - North Korea urges foreigners in South Korea to evacuate as the peninsula is on the brink of war. "We do not wish to endanger foreign nationals in South Korea because there will be war," North Korea's news agency KCNA quoted a North Korean agency that calls itself the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee.

KCNA's report did not provide details about the "new threat". There are also no reports from the military camp near the North-South border, which lies less than 40 miles from Seoul.

Previously, Pyongyang threatened to attack South Korea and the United States with nuclear weapons, after it broke all military contacts with the two countries. They also stated that the country is in a "state of war" with South Korea.
