TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Marketing Director of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Octavianus Dwi Putro said that his party hopes that the new Indonesian government can extend the electric motorcycle incentives. This is because this incentive is said to be able to increase sales of electric motorcycles in the country.
"The subsidy will be very helpful. We are also communicating with the government, maximizing it (the communication), when the deadline (is announced) we will follow (it) and we will convey it to consumers to be used immediately," said Octavianus when met in Cikarang, Friday, August 23, 2024.
However, Octa, his nickname, said that AHM will follow the government's decision regarding this electric motorcycle incentive.
"Yes, we hope, but it depends on what kind of policies they have in the government," he said.
Reporting from the Sisapira page today, Sunday, August 25, 2024, the number of subsidized electric motorcycle units that have been received by the public this year has reached 54,486 units. Meanwhile, the remaining electric motorcycle subsidy quota as of August 24, 2024, is still 545,514 units.
Honda itself received incentives for its electric motorcycle, namely the 'EM1 e:'. Honda's first electric motorcycle in Indonesia is marketed with a price tag of Rp33 million after receiving subsidies.
