TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian AirAsia is hosting the AirAsia Travel Fair (AATF) 2024 Medan at Center Point Medan from July 12 to 14. This event offers various travel deals, including a 20% discount on international flights, additional price discounts up to Rp600,000, and cashback up to Rp2 million.

Eddy Krismeidi, Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy for Indonesia AirAsia, highlighted the event's goal to support the government's tourism initiatives. The travel fair aims to increase the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia and stimulate travel interest among Medan residents, offering direct flights to popular destinations, such as Bangkok, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Malaysia.

Additionally, tourists can use connecting flights via Kuala Lumpur to Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Taipei, Guangzhou, Seoul, Hong Kong, Macau, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sydney.

At the AATF 2024 Medan, Indonesia AirAsia is collaborating with PermataBank to provide various deals. PermataBank offers promos for all transactions using Permata Kartu Kredit and Permata Debit Plus. Permata Bank cardholders can unlock additional benefits:

  • Discounts up to Rp600,000 on flights

  • Cashback up to Rp2,000,000

  • 0% interest rate installments for up to 3 months

  • Top Spender Bonus: Earn 300,000 AirAsia Points (equivalent to 2 round-trip tickets to Sydney) for the highest spender using Permata credit/debit cards

  • Travel Period: Discounted tickets are valid for flights departing between July 22, 2024, and March 13, 2025.

Beyond discounts, Indonesia AirAsia pampers its visitors by presenting special cultural performances, such as K-POP dance covers, Indian dances, and Malaysian dances. There are also interesting souvenirs, games, and lottery tickets for flights to Penang, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.

Eddy also mentioned that attendees can enjoy the experience of tasting AirAsia in-flight meals by Santan Cafe.

He highlighted that the strong interest in travel fairs and the rising demand for flights from Medan have attracted numerous travel agents and tourism agencies from various countries to participate in AATF 2024 Medan.

Eddy hoped that the event would also attract foreign tourists to experience the beauty of Indonesia, contributing to the government's target of 17 million foreign tourist visits in 2024 and benefitting the country's economy.
