TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing has expressed interest in partnering with the government and stakeholders in Indonesia to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045. Boeing wants to do this by helping and supporting Indonesia's aerospace industry.

"We are very interested in partnering with the Indonesian government to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045," Zaid Alami, Boeing Indonesia country managing director, said at the Boeing Indonesia office in Jakarta on June 10.

Boeing is currently working with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), a number of ministries and government officials, as well as regulators and corporations.

To help the country achieve its vision of a "Golden Indonesia 2045," Boeing must do more than establish government cooperation. There are also aspects of the supply chain, customers, airports, and university partnerships that need to be covered.

"We need to look at the aviation ecosystem as a whole, and that is our commitment," Alami said.

According to him, Boeing is also ready to help and support the growth of the aviation industry in Indonesia holistically. "Holistically, not just with one element, and that is our role in supporting the vision of Indonesia 2045," he said.

By taking a holistic approach, Boeing will be able to explore opportunities to build partnerships, collaborations, and support to drive the growth of Indonesia's aviation industry.

"Whether it's in the form of training, education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), partnering with our customers in terms of efficiency, in terms of capacity building, sustainability, all of that is part of our vision," Alami said. "We are very interested in working together and continuing our partnership with Indonesia for the next 75 years."
