TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati said flights from Indonesia to countries in the Middle East region are running normally after Iran's attack on Israel.

"There has been no disruption experienced by airlines serving flights to or from the Middle East thus far," Adita confirmed to Tempo, on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Adita also confirmed that until now the trips to the Middle East have been running smoothly. She also emphasized that there was no ban on flights to the Middle East despite the Iran-Israel conflict heating up.

"The Ministry of Transportation has not issued any ban," she said.

Based on Tempo's observation on the Tiket.com website, flights to Tehran, Iran are still open. The cheapest ticket from Jakarta to the Iranian capital is priced from Rp12 million with Etihad Airways.

In this regard, the Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Angkasa Pura II or AP II Cin Asmoro said he would provide an update on flights to the Middle East region.

"If there is an update, I will inform you," said Asmoro.
