TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Support for Palestine continues to come, including from the communist countries left in the world. These countries support the independence of Palestine from Israeli colonialism. Citing various sources, here is the list of communist countries that support the freedom of Palestine:

1. China

Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his support for Palestinian independence. He supports the establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. Xi Jinping's statement adds to the list of communist countries that support Palestine. This was stated by Xi Jinping after his meeting with Mahmoud Abbas in China.

2. North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed his support for the Palestinian cause and rejection of Israel's colonial stance. Kim Jong-un has criticized Israel, saying it is a curse in the Middle East and an invader hiding under the United States. The feud between Israel and Kim Jong-un escalated after the Israeli defense minister called Kim Jong-un a madman.

Through his statement, Kim Jong-un fully supports the struggle of the Palestinian people to regain the occupied territories and establish an independent state by making Baitulmaqdis its capital.

3. Cuba

Cuba is a communist country that also supports Palestine, as evidenced by a tweet posted by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez regarding a just and comprehensive solution to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

On a day of international solidarity with the Palestinian people, the Cuban foreign minister defended the nation's inalienable right to a state on its pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

4. Laos

At the 41st Plenary Session of the 77th UN General Assembly, Ambassador Anouparb Vongnorkeo, Permanent Representative of Laos to the UN, expressed his full support for the independence and sovereignty of the State of Palestine. Ambassador Anouparb also expressed the importance of finding a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, respecting the rights of the Palestinian people, and achieving a two-state solution under UN resolutions.

5. Vietnam

Vietnam is also listed as a communist country that supports Palestine. Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Vietnam's Permanent Representative to the UN at the UN General Assembly, expressed concern over the violence in the Palestinian territories.

Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang also reiterated Vietnam's stance that the Palestinian issue must be handled based on international law and relevant UN resolutions, ensuring the legitimate interests of all parties, especially the inalienable rights of the Palestinians, including the right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
