TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Investigators from the Bima Resort Police in West Nusa Tenggara have identified 14 suspects in the alleged destruction and burning of boxes containing ballot papers at several polling stations in Parado District. Bima Police's Crime Unit Chief, Adj. Comr. Masdidin, said that 10 of the 14 suspects have fled and are currently on the police's wanted list.

'We have detained four of the 14 suspects. "The rest are still at large," he said on Monday, February 26, as reported by Antara.

Masdidin said that the four suspects currently held at Bima Police's detention center, as well as the 10 suspects who are still at large, are all civilians. They are residents of Parado Wane Village and Parado Rato Village.

"None of these suspects are running for legislation, and none of them are village officials. All of them are ordinary citizens," he said.

According to Masdidin, the 10 missing suspects were not found in Parado District, Bima Regency after a police search.

"We received information that they are hiding in the mountain area," he said.

Masdidin stated that the case files of the suspects had been submitted to the investigating prosecutor. They are accused of violating Article 517 of Law No.7 of 2017 on elections.
