He expressed his hope for securing Japan's support during a business meeting attended by at least 78 CEOs of big companies in Japan, which was organized as part of the Commemorative Summit of the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday, December 18, 2023.

2. Singapore Urges People to Mask Up as COVID-19 Cases Surge

The Singapore government issued guidelines for tourists and citizens in response to the spike in COVID-19 cases in the country. According to the latest report, the number of cases reached 56,000 as of Dec. 9, a significant increase from the previous week's 32,035 cases.

Travelers are urged to take precautions, including wearing masks at airports, buying travel insurance, and avoiding poorly ventilated and crowded places.

3. Indonesia's Hajj Officer Quota Rises to 4,421

Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas stated that Indonesia's Hajj officer quota for 2024 has increased, from only 2,100 to 4,421 people.

The certainty regarding the increase in officer quota was confirmed by Qoumas after he held a meeting with Hajj and Umrah Minister of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah in Jeddah.
