Defend Palestine Rally to be Held in Bekasi on Sunday, November 19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bekasi Alliance Cares for Palestine will be holding another rally in support of Palestine in Bekasi, on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Last week, similar event was held in Bekasi Cit. The upcoming event will be held in the Wibawa Mukti Stadium area, Bekasi Regency.

"To all components of society, SKPD, sub-district heads, village heads, islamic organizations, community figures to participate," said Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Bekasi Regency Muhidin Kamal in an official written statement.

Muhidin appealed to the entire community to participate in supporting the Palestinian struggle. The 'Defending Palestine' rally will be held centrally at Taman Sehati, Wibawa Mukti Stadium complex, starting at 08:00 AM Western Indonesia Time.

Apart from that, continued Muhidin, people who want to donate to Palestine can go through the Bekasi Regency National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) account, BSI Bank account number 7194956252 and BJB Syariah account number 5410206015550.

Regional Assistant 1 of the Regional Secretariat of Bekasi Regency Sri Enny Mainiarti predicts that the rally will be attended by thousands of people. Sri appealed to residents who attended to prepare themselves well.

"Prepare food and drink. For those who want to share, please share. Those who bring children must consider the pros and cons. If you think it's dangerous, it's better not to bring children," said Sri.
