Freeport Indonesia Opens Internship Recruitment for Students

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Freeport Indonesia, a mineral mining company affiliated with Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) and Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID), is opening recruitment for internships to active students with a minimum GPA of 2.8, as stated in an Instagram post of SOE Recruitment.

"With a minimum GPA of 2.8 from 4.0. [and] at least have completed at least one year in a major field of study," as posted on the Instagram account @rekrutmenbumn on Saturday, April 29.

This recruitment is open to students with a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree. The minimum age required is 18 years old and in good mental and physical health.

Those who can apply for this recruitment are students in the following study programs:

The interns accepted at PT Freeport Indonesia will get pocket money, round-trip flight tickets, and accommodation. They will also get three meals a day, a health facility for those who are placed in Papua, and a certificate for program completion.

The deadline for registration is May 8, 2023, which can be done through 'Jadi BUMN' app or via the official page jadibumn.id. Further information can be accessed through the app or official Instagram accounts @jadibumnofficial and @rekrutmenbumn.

Freeport asserted that it doesn’t charge any fee in the recruitment and hiring process. The company urges job seekers to be careful and aware of various modes of recruitment fraud on behalf of PT Freeport Indonesia.

PT Freeport Indonesia is a company that focuses on mining and processing ore to produce a concentrate containing copper, gold, and silver.

The company markets concentrates all over the world, especially to the domestic copper smelter, PT Smelting. Freeport operates in the remote highlands of the Sudirman Mountains, Mimika Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia.
