JCI Closes Green with Rp11.9tn Transactions

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia reported that the Jakarta Composite Index was corrected in the second session of today's trade, January 12. However, the JCI managed to end the day in the green zone with a slight gain of 0.69 percent to close at 6,629.9.

At the end of today's trade, the prices of 295 stocks rose, 227 fell, and 188 were stagnant.

"The transaction value was Rp11.9 trillion, the trading frequency was 1.11 million times, and the trading volume was 180.2 million lots," Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia wrote in its analysis as quoted Thursday.

Transportation company Batavia Prosperindo Trans (BPTR) recorded the most actively traded shares in today's trading session with 39,615 times, followed by DKFT (35,588) and WMUU (29,374).

Volume-wise, tech giant GoTo Gojek Tokopedia's (GOTO) shares were the most traded with a volume of 24.4 million lots, followed by WMUU (12.1 million) and BUMI (11 million), Batavia's report continued.

The technology sector index (IDXTECHNO) became the highest rising in today's trading session with a gain of 1.66 percent. Following behind was the financial sector index (IDXFINANCE) with a 1.64-percent hike and the raw goods sector index (IDXBASIC) with a 1.17-percent increase.
