TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) weather forecast predicts rainfall over the Greater Jakarta area that will likely last from noon to the afternoon.

Light to moderate rainfall is expected to shower over West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta while Central, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) are expected to stay overcast.

The agency warned the public that the weather could turn for the worst with lightning storms and strong winds in the West and East Jakarta areas.

Satellite cities in the vicinity of the capital city, such as Bogor, Bekasi, and Tangerang are also expected to see light-intensity rainfall all through the night.
