TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will reportedly summon top officials in the National Police to the State Palace on Friday, October 14, which is mentioned in a confidential telegram revealed in a virtual Zoom meeting with high-ranking police personnel.

"The results of the coordination meeting through the zoom cloud meeting on Wednesday, October 12, at 10.00 WIB led by the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, are related to the President's plan to direct the police to the ranks of the police," the telegram said.

The summons to the Police is planned to be held tomorrow at noon at 14.00 WIB (Indonesia Western Time). The confidential telegram stated that this summons is addressed to the Main Officer of the National Police Headquarters, the regional police chiefs throughout Indonesia, and the Head of Police resorts throughout Indonesia.

Interestingly, the police personnel who are invited to the meeting live will be required to wear full uniforms and are banned from bringing mobile phones. They are only permitted to bring notes and pens.

Tempo took numerous attempts to confirm this information to National Police Spokesperson general Dedi Prasetyo until the publication of this article.
