TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bangka Belitung Islands Government has ensured sufficient supply of fuel oil during the G20 Development Working Group (DWG) event on Belitung Island on September 7-9, 2022.
"We thank Pertamina for increasing the supply of fuel oil to make the G20 successful on Belitung Island," Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands Ridwan Djamaluddin stated in Pangkalpinang, Saturday.
Djamaluddin said that other measures adopted by Pertamina included developing infrastructure and human resources in Belitung and East Belitung in a bid to further ensure that the international-scale event is a success.
"The addition of facilities and human resources at this gas station will certainly further improve services to prevent queues of vehicles for G20 participants and the public," he stated.
The sales branch manager PT. Pertamina Patra Niaga South of Sumatra Region, Reiner Bontong, remarked that Pertamina had readied fuel terminal facilities as well as increased the number of human resources to cater to 500 vehicles for G20 participants, event committees, and the local people.
"We have prepared in terms of tidiness, cleanliness, and stock readiness of each gas station (for that time) during the G20 event," he remarked.
He explained that the estimated percentage increase of 15 percent was provided for gasoline, which is a combination of pertalite and pertamax. On the other hand, the estimate for gas oil or diesel for diesel engines was six percent.
"The estimation of the addition of fuel is gauged from the average daily distribution when (the situation) is normal. Preparations for this addition will begin on September 4-10, 2022, after the G20 series is complete," Bontong said.
